We are seeking a commercially driven Head of Finance – Operations to lead finance business partnering across the Retail Zoo brands and network growth functions. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is the senior commercial finance lead for the business, partnering closely with Brand Leaders and the broader SLT to drive performance, investment decisions, and long-term growth outcomes.
This is a high-impact leadership role with broad exposure across operational finance, network growth, capital investment, and transformation initiatives. You will influence key decisions across P&L performance, new store economics, marketing investment, CAPEX, and strategic growth priorities, while helping shape the next phase of Retail Zoo’s ERP and BI transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial finance partnering across the Retail Zoo brand portfolio and growth functions.
- Own brand-level financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Provide strategic financial insight and challenge across investment, operational, and growth decisions.
- Lead financial evaluation of new store investments, refurbishments, pricing initiatives, and major CAPEX proposals.
- Drive performance reporting, KPI frameworks, and commercially meaningful decision support for senior stakeholders.
- Partner closely with the CFO, SLT, and operational leaders to improve financial performance and accountability across the business.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance business partnering team.
- Support the ongoing uplift of reporting, systems, and analytics capability through ERP and BI transformation initiatives.
About You
- CA/CPA qualified with extensive experience across commercial finance, FP&A, and business partnering.
- Proven success operating in senior finance leadership roles within multi-site or consumer-facing businesses.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence operational and strategic decision-making.
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, investment evaluation, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-accountability environments with executive stakeholder exposure.
- Retail, QSR, hospitality, franchise, or FMCG experience highly regarded.
