What You Will Enjoy Doing
- In this role, you lead the Finance & Controlling department, managing 2 direct reports (1 manager accounting and 1 business controller) and 4 indirect reports (liabilities & receivables), while serving as a member of the Board of Linde Gas Switzerland
- Operating within a matrix organization, you report directly to the Executive Director Finance, Region South West
- You own and oversee statutory and consolidated financial reporting (IFRS/US GAAP), ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and manage all tax and risk-related matters to safeguard the company’s financial integrity and optimize risk exposure
- You drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, monitor and analyze business performance, and identify and implement measures to continuously improve financial outcomes
- You ensure the company's liquidity by managing planning and necessary financing measures
- You also actively participate in the digitalization and automation of processes and contribute to the company’s development toward digital transformation
What Makes You Great
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have completed further training in accounting, controlling, finance & accounting, or business administration
- You bring more than 5 years of managerial experience in a controlling or a similar role (e.g. FP&A, Business Finance)
- A good understanding of US GAAP and Swiss GAAP requirements for reporting is required as well as an experience in budgeting and forecasting, combined with a proactive mindset to help shape and improve processes
- You possess very strong Excel skills and use ERP systems confidently, ideally SAP
- Your ability to structure and leverage unstructured data, from extraction and cleaning through to analysis and presentation, ensures valuable insights
- Your strong analytical thinking and ability to translate insights into concrete recommendations for action to the business drives impact
- Fluency in English and German is essential, while French language skills are considered an advantage
- Openness to new challenges and a strong motivation to contribute actively to the company’s digital transformation complete your profile
