Fast-growing Data Science B2B SaaS platform seeks strategic Head of Finance/ CFO with proven capital raising / fundraising experience as a finance leader within a B2B SaaS company (series A to D) – ideally leading growth equity transactions – and strong modeling or M&A background (investment banking / private equity background a plus) – to lead strategic finance, capital raising, financial planning and analysis, investor and board reporting, and related revenue operations, oversee accounting and vendor negotiations – reporting into and working directly with the CEO. The successful candidate will have led capital raise / fundraising from within a B2B SaaS company in one or more rounds (Series A, B, C or D), ideally with financial sponsors / growth equity funds. Must have proven experience leading fundraising for a B2B SaaS. Our client is a highly successful and growing 40+ person B2B SaaS company founded in 2018, focused on measuring the impact of messaging and advertising on public opinion, combating disinformation and supporting growth of consumer facing brands and organizations – with major enterprise clients including AirBNB, AMEX, Meta, Amazon and Paramount.
We’re looking for someone with experience leading finance and capital raising at fast growing or early stage B2B SaaS companies, and highly proficient in financial modeling at the level expected of analysts at VC, private equity or investment banks. Visible role with significant upside potential.
Requirements:
- 7+ years financial management experience in a fast-paced, dynamic B2B SaaS environment, ideally at startups and / or investment funds.
- Experience leading Capital raising (growth equity a +) as a finance leader within a B2B SaaS.
- Strong modeling, FP&A and financial reporting experience with understanding of SaaS metrics, SaaS KPIs.
- Background in Investment Banking, VC or Private Equity / M&A highly preferred.
- Strategic mindset, very strong analytical skills, and experience using data to inform decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelors or higher, in business, finance or related field.
