Role Summary:
The Head of Finance is responsible for leading the finance function of Sahm Capital and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of all financial activities. The role oversees financial reporting, accounting operations, treasury management, taxation, and financial planning while ensuring alignment with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring efficient financial operations and strong internal financial controls.
- Oversee all accounting activities and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee the financial closing process and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage the firm's bank accounts, treasury operations, and liquidity monitoring, including payment approvals and cash flow management.
- Ensure proper management and reconciliation of client money accounts and operational bank accounts in line with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, financial transaction reviews, and internal financial controls.
- Manage the company's Zakat, VAT, and corporate tax obligations, ensuring compliance with ZATCA regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities during audits and financial reviews.
- Lead the budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes, including financial modelling and variance analysis.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze trends, and provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Support the monitoring of the firm's regulatory capital requirements and financial resources in coordination with senior management.
- Ensure proper financial governance, internal controls, and accounting policies are maintained across the organization.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems, reporting tools, and operational processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, SOCPA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA are preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably with well-established financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and financial management practices.
- Experience managing treasury, banking relationships, and financial reporting processes.
- Solid understanding of Zakat, VAT, and corporate tax regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience working with external auditors and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
