This is a short‑term opportunity for an immediately available finance specialist to take ownership of the full finance function and support critical month‑end and year‑end processes within a dynamic organisation.
POSITION INFO:
Our client is a rapidly growing business operating in a modern, high‑growth environment. They are currently seeking a Finance Manager / Senior Financial Accountant on a 3‑month fixed‑term contract, to manage the full finance function and provide stability, structure, and strong financial control during a critical period.
The successful candidate will be responsible for end‑to‑end finance, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and month‑end and year‑end closes. This role requires a confident, assertive individual who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing stakeholders, and implementing order in an evolving environment.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned finance professional who is immediately available and enjoys stepping into challenging, high‑impact roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full finance function on an end‑to‑end basis
- Perform general ledger management and balance sheet reconciliations
- Take ownership of month‑end and year‑end close processes
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records
- Identify gaps in processes and implement practical financial controls
- Work closely with management to support financial decision‑making
- Operate effectively within an unstructured and fast‑changing environment
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA(SA) qualification ideal, but not essential
- Experience:
- Strong hands‑on experience managing the full finance function
- Proven exposure to GL reconciliations and close processes
- Experience working in fast‑paced or evolving environments
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong personality with the confidence to challenge and influence
- Comfortable operating with limited structure and high levels of ownership
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving capability
- Ability to hit the ground running with minimal handover
- Immediately available or able to start at short notice
