Are you an experienced finance leader looking to play a key role in one of Southern Africa's growing renewable energy businesses?
We are partnering with a leading organisation in the renewable energy sector to recruit a Head of Finance based in Windhoek, Namibia.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone with strong technical accounting expertise and proven experience managing finance across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Group's finance function, reporting directly to the CFO.
- Own the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Manage the group reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash flow functions.
- Lead the annual external audit process across multiple entities.
- Oversee tax compliance across several SADC jurisdictions, including cross-border transactions.
- Partner with executive leadership on financial planning, strategic decision-making and funding initiatives.
- Lead and develop Finance Managers and their respective teams.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, together with a postgraduate qualification.
- CA(SA), CA(NAM) or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a group environment.
- Strong experience with:
- Group consolidations
- IFRS reporting
- Multi-currency environments
- External audits
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Treasury and cash flow management
- Excellent leadership, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Industry Experience
Experience within renewable energy, engineering, infrastructure, construction, mining or other project-based industries will be highly regarded.
