Our client is seeking a Head of Finance to lead financial operations, reporting, and governance across a multi-entity organisation, ensuring robust controls, scalability, and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making while building high-performing teams and efficient, future-ready finance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead finance and governance across all entities.
- Deliver accurate statutory and management reporting; ensure audit readiness.
- Implement and maintain internal controls in line with German regulations.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Support investment decisions, business cases, and capital allocation.
- Partner with senior leadership and CFO as a trusted advisor.
- Oversee end-to-end accounting, including close, tax, and audits.
- Build and scale transactional finance (AP/AR) and core processes.
- Ensure efficient systems, data integrity, and scalable reporting.
- Hire, lead, and develop finance teams.
- Define KPIs, roles, and operating standards.
- Drive automation and continuous process improvement.
Profile:
- Extensive experience in senior finance roles within complex organisations.
- Strong expertise in accounting, financial control, and statutory reporting.
- Leadership experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Commercial Finance.
- Experience in capital-intensive or operational sectors is advantageous.
- Proven ability to scale finance functions in high-growth environments.
- Hands-on, structured, and results-oriented.
- Able to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
- Decisive and resilient in fast-paced settings.
- Clear and confident communicator with senior stakeholders.
