Role Description
This role owns Pebbles' day-to-day financial operations while playing a strategic part in preparing the company for scale as a platform business. You will ensure financial clarity, discipline, and compliance, and work closely with the Managing Director and Founder on financial health, planning, and fundraising readiness. In this early stage, the role also covers HR administration and general office operations, with this scope narrowing naturally as the team grows. Experience in e-commerce or platform businesses is a strong advantage.

This role starts as an individual contributor, with a clear path to building and leading the finance function as Pebbles scales.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting (~80%)
● Own monthly P&L, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet reporting
● Manage OPEX budget, payments, payroll, and expense processing
● Book all entries in accounting software; ensure clean, accurate financial records at all times
● Design and improve finance processes, controls, and reporting structures to support automation and scale
● Act as a trusted financial partner to the MD and Founder — proactively flag risks, opportunities, and
trade-offs
Accounting & Compliance
● Manage VAT, CIT, PIT, and other applicable taxes in Vietnam
● Ensure compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards (VAS)
● Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as needed
Forecasting & Business Support
● Build and maintain financial forecasts; translate commercial plans into financial scenarios
● Support the MD and Founder on cash runway, burn rate, and long-term financial planning
Platform & Scale Readiness
● Prepare finance processes for platform transactions, revenue recognition, provider payouts, and
commissions
● Support payment flows, transaction reconciliation, and investor/fundraising readiness
HR & Admin Support (~10–15%, early-stage)
● Manage contracts, onboarding, SHUI, and PIT compliance
● Oversee general office operations, vendor management, and internal documentation
Qualifications
Must-haves
● Chief Accountant Certificate (required)
● 5+ years in accounting or finance; strong hands-on knowledge of VAS and Vietnamese tax compliance
● Proven experience managing P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets
● Proficient in MISA; strong Excel / Google Sheets
● Fluent Vietnamese and strong professional English
Strong advantages
● Experience with tech, SaaS, or platform/marketplace businesses
● Familiarity with transaction-based revenue models
● Experience supporting fundraising, investor reporting, or due diligence
● Ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
