What You’ll Do
1. Market Research & Project Sourcing
– Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging investment trends and venture capital opportunities
– Identify business opportunities, research and develop internal ventures in coordination with cross-functional teams.
2. Due Diligence/Project Evaluation
– Collect and analyze data on target projects (including startups and internal ventures) from provided documents, industry sources, and experts.
– Conduct reference checks with existing customers and partners of the target projects.
– Evaluate market landscape and competitive positioning of target projects.
– Consult with technical and business advisors to assess the potential and feasibility of target projects.
– Perform background checks on key management personnel.
– Build financial models and conduct valuation analyses.
– Prepare internal investment memos and presentations.
– Conduct investment analysis for cinema-related opportunities (new sites, M&A, partnerships, adjacent revenue streams) in support of the Beta Cinemas expansion roadmap.
– Support corporate structuring work for new investments and internal ventures (holding structures, SPVs, intra-group transactions), coordinating with legal, tax, and finance advisors.
3. Portfolio/Project management
– Implement and manage internal projects.
– Monitor the performance of invested projects (e.g., start-ups) and provide ongoing support.
– Support fundraising and ESOP-related work, including preparing materials (teasers, IMs, models, data rooms) and assisting with ESOP design, modeling, and administration.
– Contribute to group-level strategic projects and other ad-hoc analyses on capital allocation, new business lines, and competitive positioning as assigned by leadership.
What You’ll Bring
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
– Preferably 6 months to 5 years of relevant experience in VC/PE, consulting, investment banking, project management, equity research, or commercial banking. Final title (Investment Analyst or Senior Investment Analyst) will be determined based on experience and demonstrated capability.
– Experience in financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.
– Strong research and analytical capabilities; advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
– Strategic and critical thinker, sharp-minded, detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated, with high ownership, a builder’s mindset, and a strong exploratory drive – comfortable operating in white space rather than relying on a fixed system.
– Excellent communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, with strong interpersonal abilities.
– CFA Level I passed (or higher) is a plus.
– Ability to create well-designed, professional PowerPoint presentations.
– A result-oriented team player who can handle multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
