The Role
We are looking for a commercially aware and operationally strong Group Head of Finance to help build and scale the financial backbone of the Group.
This role is suited for a high-performing finance professional who is comfortable operating in a hands-on environment while helping establish scalable financial processes, controls, reporting structures and finance operations across multiple regulated entities.
The role combines strategic financial oversight with practical operational execution.
During the Group’s current growth phase, the successful candidate will be expected to remain close to the operational realities of the business while progressively helping build a stronger finance function and team structure over time.

Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial operations of the Group across multiple regulated entities
- Support the development of scalable finance, reporting and control frameworks
- Assist with regulatory financial reporting requirements
- Work closely with operations, compliance and external service providers
- Help oversee safeguarding, reconciliations and treasury-related processes within the EMI structure
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning initiatives
- Assist in strengthening governance, controls and financial oversight processes
- Contribute to the long-term institutional scaling of the Group
Ideal Profile
- Fully qualified accountant under Maltese professional standards
- ACCA qualification, University of Malta Accountancy degree with warrant, or equivalent recognised accounting qualification
- Strong accounting and financial management foundation
- Experience within financial services is highly preferred
- Exposure to regulated environments such as investment firms, funds, payments or fintech is advantageous
- Experience with reconciliations, safeguarding or operational finance functions is considered a strong plus
- Comfortable operating both strategically and operationally
- Strong attention to detail and ownership mentality
- Able to work closely with senior leadership in a fast-evolving environment
