Role Description

We are currently seeking a motivated Graduate or Junior Tax Accountant to join our collaborative team.

This is an excellent opportunity to build your technical skills and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment, working closely with senior team members and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards
  • Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs
  • Assist with BAS, IAS, and other compliance lodgements
  • Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies as required
  • Conduct research on tax and accounting matters with guidance from senior staff
  • Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts, budgets, and other reports
  • Identify potential issues and escalate to senior team members
  • Ensure compliance with tax legislation and key deadlines
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver quality outcomes for clients

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Currently undertaking or intending to commence CA/CPA
  • 0–2 years’ experience in a public practice environment (desirable but not essential)
  • Basic understanding of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
  • Experience with Xero, CAS 360, Active Workpapers, or similar software (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A positive attitude and team-oriented approach
