Position Summary

The Finance & Administration Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day financial processes and supporting overall administrative operations. The role oversees financial reporting, budgeting assistance, and expense management, while also ensuring efficient office and administrative workflows. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and smooth operational functioning, and reports directly to the Head of Finance & Administration Department.

Responsibilities

  • Finance Accountant (AP)
  • Responsible for managing day-to-day financial processes
  • Prepare and reconcile bank transactions and accounts. Ensure accurate allocation of costs across G/L accounts and cost centers
  • Oversees financial reporting, budgeting assistance, and expense management
  • Manage weekly and ad-hoc payment runs, uploading payments to banking platforms
  • Maintain compliance with financial policies, procedures, and GST/VAT classifications
  • Respond to finance-related queries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide Finance-related support to the HQ Finance Department
  • General Administration (Procurement& others)
  • Manage all procurement related things and contract management.
  • Manage daily administrative operations to ensure efficient office functioning.
  • Perform other general administrative tasks as required.

Position Requirements

  • A qualification (or working towards) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • You're based in Sydney and enjoy a WIO environment
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar finance or accounts role
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
