We are seeking a General Manager to serve as a key leadership partner to the founder. This role will bring structure, accountability, and execution across all areas of the company, while also helping shape the long-term vision and growth of the brand. 

Role Overview

The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day performance of the business while driving long-term growth and profitability.

This role holds full ownership of business performance, including P&L, and is responsible for aligning Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. The ideal candidate is both strategic and highly execution-focused — comfortable making decisions, driving accountability, and operating within a creative, founder-led environment. 

 

Core Responsibilities Business Performance & Growth

  • Own overall business performance, including revenue, profitability, and full P&L across all channels
  •  Drive growth across ecommerce and emerging channels, with a focus on acquisition, retention, and conversion
  • Partner on pricing, merchandising, and go-to-market strategies
  • Identify new opportunities across channels, partnerships, and product categories 

Brand & Customer Experience

  • Ensure all customer touchpoints reflect the brand’s values, quality, and aesthetic
  • Partner closely with the founder to maintain and evolve the brand identity
  • Build a cohesive and elevated customer experience across digital and physical channels
  • Balance brand storytelling with commercial performance 

Leadership & Team Alignment

  • Provide leadership across Product, Marketing, and Operations
  • Ensure teams are aligned, accountable, and working toward shared priorities
  • Establish clear goals, timelines, and performance tracking
  • Act as a close and trusted partner to the founder 

Financial Oversight & Cash Flow

  • Own cash flow management and forward-looking budget planning
  • Maintain clear visibility into financial performance
  • Identify efficiencies across operating expenses
  • Partner with finance resources to ensure accuracy and discipline 

Operations & Process Optimization

  • Oversee inventory management and planning
  • Optimize production flow in partnership with the Product team
  • Improve shipping, logistics, and cross-border operations
  • Reduce inefficiencies across vendors and internal processes
  • Manage costs, including shipping, packaging, and production 

Product & Merchandising Partnership

  • Partner on product strategy, assortment planning, and pricing
  • Bring a strong point of view on product performance and customer demand
  • Balance creativity with commercial viability
  • Maintain a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and quality 

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Connect Product and Marketing to ensure cohesive execution
  • Align product launches across inventory, storytelling, and sales strategy
  • Drive initiatives forward with clear ownership and follow-through 

Business Infrastructure

  • Oversee payroll and support HR processes
  • Manage vendor relationships and bill pay over time
  • Build scalable systems and processes to support growth

  • Experience in general management, operations, or finance within a consumer or retail business
  • Proven ability to own and manage P&L
  • Strong financial acumen and operational discipline
  • Strategic but highly hands-on, with a bias toward action
  • Strong product intuition and appreciation for craftsmanship and design
  • Ability to balance data-driven decision-making with instinct and brand sensibility
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in ambiguity
  • Experience scaling a business or brand through growth phases
  • Strong communicator and team leader
  • Comfortable working closely with a founder in a fast-moving, evolving environment
