Our client is a highly successful, well-established manufacturing company based in Memphis that has doubled revenue over the past five years and is positioned for continued, accelerated growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Provide meaningful insights into financial performance to support business decisions
- Lead month-end close activities for A/P and A/R
Accounts Payable Oversight
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounts payable processing
- Review and approve weekly expense reports
- Develop reporting to forecast purchasing and inventory needs
- Maintain vendor files and manage credit holds
- Resolve vendor disputes and discrepancies
Accounts Receivable Management
- Partner with Sales and customers to project monthly cash flow
- Oversee invoicing, collections, and cash application
- Review A/R accuracy and manage monthly close
- Maintain customer files, reseller permits, and credit references
Budgeting, Cash Flow & Analysis
- Develop and manage company budgets and expense tracking
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support daily operations
- Perform cost analysis, forecasting, and trend analysis
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and tax regulations
- Support internal and external audits
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Master’s degree and/or CPA strongly preferred
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3–5+ years in an accounting leadership or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax requirements
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency with accounting systems and financial analysis tools
