Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the general ledger accounting and reporting for various areas of the business to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual close and reporting processes.
  2. Review and approve monthly journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by Accountant(s).
  3. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for high risk, complex transactions and accounts.
  4. Prepare and review monthly operating results and analyze significant variances from operating plan and prior year.
  5. Oversee and provide job/career development to staff.
  6. Assist in various project-based assignments.
  7. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders at all levels to ensure all transactions are accounted for accordance with accounting policies.
  8. Continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting and closing processes.
  9. Assist financial reporting team with audit requirements and compliance.
  10. Special projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field of study.
  3. CPA and both public and corporate accounting experience a plus.
  4. Management experience of onshore and offshore staff.
  5. Process-oriented with a passion for developing best practices.
  6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organization and external partners.
  7. Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong excel, analytical, organization, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  9. Self-motivated and proactive; able to function in a fast paced, dynamic environment and still pay close attention to details.
  10. Experience with JD Edwards a plus.
  11. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and periodic long days.
  12. Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
