Job Summary
The General Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounting operations, and ensuring the integrity of financial transactions within Hareer App. This role focuses on reconciling partner accounts (Salons & Retailers), tracking payments from 3rd-party logistics providers, managing petty cash, and preparing monthly financial reports to support the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Bookkeeping: Accurately record all financial transactions in the accounting system and ensure proper documentation for every entry.
- Partner Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts for beauty salons and cosmetic retailers, ensuring commission deductions and net payments are calculated accurately.
- Logistics Reconciliation: Track and reconcile cash-on-delivery (COD) collections and service fees with outsourced delivery companies.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor outstanding invoices from suppliers/vendors and follow up on pending payments from partners.
- Petty Cash Management: Handle and record office expenses and local procurements in coordination with the Admin team.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all digital payments and transfers match the company's records.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly balance sheets, P&L statements, and other financial reports for the Finance Manager.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with local Iraqi financial regulations and assist in annual audit preparations.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a tech startup, e-commerce, or retail environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of General Accounting Principles and familiarity with Iraqi financial regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Soft Skills: High level of integrity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Languages
- Arabic: Fluent (Professional Proficiency).
- English: Good (Working Proficiency for system usage and internal communication).
