Summary:
• To support and handle GAAP Reporting team and ensure timely and accurate delivery as per defined close calendar. Lead delivery team & execute as per SLAs.
Key Accountabilities:
Operations & Process:
Gather financial data from various sources within the organization, including accounting records, transactions, and supporting documentation.
Record necessary adjustments and accruals to ensure financial data is in compliance with GAAP principles.
Preparing GAAP trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, CF statement and statement of equity, as well as all interim note disclosures, schedules, exhibits etc.
Ownership of processes, reports, procedures, or products. Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of cross-function processes (Accounting & controllership team etc.)
Preparing a Convergence statement reflecting changes in BS and income statement as per GAAP/IFRS
Preparing G&A data for allocation in accordance with Company’s IFRS 17 allocation methodology
Liaison with multiple departments/stakeholders during the close to ensure timely accurately completion of deliverables/Collaborate for special projects.
Reconciling data between Company’s ledger, Anaplan and GL
Clearing validations related to financial data loaded into GL
Support quarterly/annual audits by internal auditors, as well as independent external auditors
Participate or lead special projects, initiatives, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requests
Understand & anticipate clients’ business needs/concerns, etc. & proactively resolve the same
Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhanced controls
Should have good understanding of IFRS 17
CA/CPA/MBA/Post-Graduate in Finance
Proficiency in English
Excellent Communication / interpersonal skills
Data gathering ability/ Eye for detail
Capability to communicate with large teams.
Process Excellence Methodology.
Appreciation of the domain needs of the process and its key drivers.
Good networking capability and Client facing skills. Goal oriented
CA/CPA/MBA/Post-Graduate in Finance with 6+ years of experience in Financial Reporting
Knowledge of Financial reporting, US GAAP policies/principles and other US GAAP requirements
Identify and implement enhancements and efficiencies
Capable of working with tight deadlines and lead closure of reporting timelines
Knowledge of US GAAP reporting concepts including accounting standards
Experience with financial reporting applications (One Stream, Anaplan, Sun GL)
Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power BI etc.)
Knowledge of Financial Reporting and Audited GAAP/STAT financial statements
Understanding of US Insurance market
Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Tools such as One Stream, Anaplan, Sun GL etc.
