As a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will play a critical role in shaping strategic decisions and driving business performance through best-in-class financial leadership. Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain integrated financial models, including budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
- Analyze financial and operational performance across multiple sites, focusing on revenue, margins, utilization, and study-level economics.
- Lead site-level P&L and budgeting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Own end-to-end revenue cycle analysis, including pipeline tracking, bookings, study activity, and collections to support decision-making.
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align financial plans with operational drivers such as enrollment and staffing.
- Prepare and present KPI-driven financial reports, dashboards, and executive materials to inform strategy and performance.
- Manage, coach, and develop a small team of offshore FP&A analysts to ensure high standards in modeling and reporting.
- Identify key risks and opportunities, driving actionable recommendations and continuous process improvements.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, transaction advisory, or corporate/business unit FP&A.
- Advanced expertise in financial modeling (driver-based, three-statement models, site-level P&Ls, budgets).
- Comprehensive understanding of contract-driven or backlog-based revenue models in health care services.
- Hands-on experience with financial planning systems (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience supporting multi-site healthcare, clinical trial sites, or private equity-backed companies.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx) and operational systems like Salesforce or CTMS.
- CFA or CPA certification.
- Proven ability to leverage AI and automation tools in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong presentation skills with experience developing board or investor materials.
