Reporting to the Team Lead Demand Planning, the Forecast Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales data identifying trends and developing accurate forecasts to support business planning and decision making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data analysis, forecasting methods, and cross-functional collaboration. Continuously improving forecast accuracy is core to this position.
Responsibilities:
Analyze historical sales trends, promotional plans, and gather market insights to develop reliable demand forecasts
Assign and maintain forecasting models using statistical techniques and tools
Prepare forecasts monthly at the item/customer/sales team level to enable product manufacturing of netted requirements
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (ex. Sales, Marketing, Finance) to gather and align forecasts with business objectives
Generate the agenda and participate in the monthly collaborative meetings with the commercial team
Monitor forecast performance and identify root causes to drive corrective actions and minimize the impact of deviations.
Review, update and maintain processes and procedures on an ongoing basis
Skills and Abilities:
2+ years of previous related experience
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, commerce, statistics, or related field
Advanced Excel skills required and experience Power BI Dashboards an asset
Detail oriented and strong analytical skills with the ability to convert analysis into forecast insights
Ability to build strong and productive relationships with cross-functional teams
ASCM and/or IBF certification an asset
Microsoft D365 experience an asset
