Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Research Assistant / Research Assistant (Finance) to support financial research, data analysis, and reporting activities. This role is responsible for collecting, organizing, and interpreting financial and market data to assist in investment analysis, business evaluation, and strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will work closely with analysts and research teams to support financial modeling, maintain research databases, and prepare structured reports and insights. This position requires strong numerical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into clear and meaningful analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize financial data from company reports, databases, and market sources.
- Assist in analyzing financial statements, earnings reports, and key performance metrics.
- Support equity, credit, macroeconomic, or investment research activities.
- Prepare charts, tables, and summaries for research reports and presentations.
- Assist in building and maintaining financial models and valuation templates.
- Conduct industry and market research to identify trends and insights.
- Monitor financial news, economic indicators, and company announcements.
- Maintain and update research databases, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Verify data accuracy and ensure consistency across all research outputs.
- Support preparation of research notes, briefings, and analytical reports.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and project-based research tasks.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and team members on ongoing research initiatives.
- Contribute to improving data collection methods and research processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic financial concepts and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with financial databases and analytical tools is an advantage.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to interpret financial information and summarize insights clearly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
