Our client, a leading organisation within the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join its finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong regulatory reporting experience to take ownership of financial reporting activities while leading a high-performing team in a dynamic and regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and submission of financial and regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Take ownership of reporting schedules and ensure all key deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to provide meaningful financial analysis and reporting insights.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and wider financial planning activities.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes and act as a key point of contact for auditors.
- Manage relationships with external service providers and other key finance partners.
- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team.
- Drive enhancements to financial processes, controls, and reporting systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Other ad hoc duties that might arise
Requirements:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualified experience, ideally within financial services, insurance, or a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience with IFRS 17 and Solvency II reporting frameworks.
- Previous people management experience with a track record of developing teams.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, and process improvement.
