behalf of their Client,a successful business on an upward trajectory, with significant growth over the past 5years based in Cheshire
Offering hybrid working 3 days WFH, this location is easily accessible with good network links from Crewe/Nantwich/Northwich/Tattenhall and 35 minutes from Warrington/Runcorn locations.
This Financial Reporting Accountant job could suit either a first or second time mover from practice, or a
recently qualified financial reporting accountant currently within industry. The business would be looking for this person to progress in to the Financial Reporting Manger.
Job Role
You will play a key role in delivering high quality financial reporting across the group, supporting both
statutory and management reporting while contributing to ongoing improvements in systems and
processes. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will gain exposure to consolidation, IFRS
reporting, and strategic finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support the preparation of annual consolidated statutory financial statements (UK GAAP & IFRS)
Assist in developing and enhancing the group statutory reporting framework
Perform accounts consolidation across multiple entities
Prepare draft management accounts and support monthly reporting cycles
Deliver financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions
Complete balance sheet reconciliations accurately and on time
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure VAT filings (UK) are completed accurately and within deadlines
Support the annual statutory audit process
Contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system, improving future reporting capability
Compile financial data to support tax computations
About You
You will be a technically strong finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and
contributing to continuous improvement
ACA / ACCA /CIMA qualified, or equivalent experience
Experience of IFRS and consolidated statutory reporting, advantageous
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
Excellent attention to detail – essential
Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Proactive, logical, and solutions-focused approach
A collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and develop
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
