Distinct is supporting an evolving organisation recruit an Interim FP&A Lead for an initial 3–6-month assignment.
This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys building structure and creating meaningful reporting, working from a blank canvas.
The business is looking for someone who can quickly assess the current landscape, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement a robust FP&A framework that provides a more holistic view of performance across the business.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of developing and enhancing the FP&A function, with a strong focus on improving reporting, forecasting, and financial insight.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing a meaningful management reporting suite
- Developing regular forecasting and budgeting processes across the organisation
- Building reporting packs and dashboards to support strategic decision-making
- Driving process improvement and increasing efficiency within finance processes
- Partnering with stakeholders across multiple departments
- Providing a more joined-up, holistic view of business performance and future planning
- Supporting senior leadership with commercial analysis and forward-looking insight
About You
- You will have previous relevant commercial finance experience, with experience in establishing processes from scratch
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid stakeholder management skills with finance and non-finance teams
- Experience designing reporting packs and forecasting processes from the ground up
- The ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- A proactive approach with the ability to quickly identify areas for improvement
- Confidence working in evolving environments
