Overview

Our client is a high-growth retail platform specializing in freshly prepared meals and packaged food solutions, serving consumers through brick-and-mortar locations and expanding distribution channels across Texas. With strong brand momentum and increasing operational scale, the company is entering its next phase of disciplined, data-driven growth and financial infrastructure development.

The organization is backed by private equity investors and is continuing to build a finance organization capable of supporting rapid expansion, operational visibility, and long-term value creation.

The company is seeking a Manager of FP&A who will play a critical role in supporting the CFO and Director of Finance in building and scaling the financial planning and analysis function. This individual will help develop forecasting models, improve financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making across the business.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, multi-unit retail environments and enjoys building financial processes in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Support the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, providing clear analysis of key variances.

Retail & Operational Finance

  • Assist in developing store-level P&L reporting and operational KPIs, including:
  • Sales per labor hour
  • Food cost percentages
  • Same-store sales growth
  • Inventory turns and shrink
  • Unit-level profitability
  • Partner with operations to analyze labor efficiency, food cost management, and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Support financial analysis related to new store openings, location performance, and expansion planning.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Build and maintain monthly financial reporting packages for executive leadership.
  • Support preparation of board-level reporting and investor materials.
  • Develop dashboards and performance reporting tools to improve financial visibility across the organization.

Strategic & Business Partnering

  • Partner closely with operations, marketing, and supply chain leaders to provide financial insights that drive better decision-making.
  • Assist leadership with pricing analysis, product-level margin evaluation, and promotional performance tracking.
  • Support analysis around capital investments, new initiatives, and operational improvements.

Process Improvement & Financial Infrastructure

  • Help implement standardized FP&A processes and reporting frameworks across the organization.
  • Improve financial reporting automation and integration with ERP and reporting systems.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the finance organization as the company scales.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or transaction advisory roles.
  • Experience supporting retail, restaurant, grocery, QSR, or consumer businesses strongly preferred.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills required.
  • Experience with ERP and reporting tools such as NetSuite, SAP, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial data into operational insights.
  • Experience working in high-growth or private equity-backed environments is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
