About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager consultant to support a global division with operations across multiple international locations. This role will lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting efforts with a strong emphasis on revenue recognition under the percentage-of-completion (POC) methodology. The consultant will partner closely with operations and commercial teams, providing actionable insights to drive performance and support strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can effectively translate financial data for non-financial stakeholders.

Compensation:
$50–65/hour

Scope:
• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities across multiple global business units
• Manage revenue recognition processes with a required focus on percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting
• Develop and deliver monthly reporting packages highlighting revenue trends, margin performance, and operational drivers
• Analyze sales performance, product mix, and profitability to provide actionable business insights
• Enhance reporting capabilities through business intelligence tools, including expansion of Power BI dashboards
• Support executive-level reporting by contributing financial insights for board-level presentations
• Establish and refine key performance indicators to improve visibility into operational and financial performance
• Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes, partnering cross-functionally to ensure alignment and accuracy
• Collaborate with accounting on close processes, audit support, and tax-related activities
• Drive consistency in financial reporting practices across multiple locations and teams
• Support initiatives related to R&D tax credits in coordination with external partners
Qualifications & Expertise:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or comparable professional experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience in FP&A with strong ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes
• Required experience with percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition
• Background in cost accounting and operational finance environments
• Experience leading or mentoring team members, will have 1 direct report
• Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and provide decision support
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial audiences
• Experience leveraging data visualization tools such as Power BI is highly preferred
