We are partnered with a multi-billion dollar hedge fund and investment management firm, who are looking to hire a Financial Operations Analyst to work with their 15 – person team based in their Houston office.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for driving forecasting, owning strategy, and building models
- Trade booking and settlement
- Daily portfolio and cash reconciliations
- Risk and regulatory reporting
- Assisting with the preparation of fund financial statements
- Supporting quarterly and annual RFIs
- Bringing new ideas to the finance function
- Cross functional work with multiple teams on board
- Translating ops performance into actionable financial insights for exec decision making
Qualifications
- Must be based in the greater Houston area
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting, hedge funds, or fund administration
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical, organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to meet project deadlines
- Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity
