About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a new online betting and iGaming operator entering the Brazilian market, we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller . This role is critical in managing the financial health of the company, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to drive growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in the online casino, betting, or gaming industry, a strong understanding of financial regulations, and excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with Brazilian financial and iGaming laws.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor cash flow, revenue, and profitability to optimize financial performance.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making.
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring best practices in financial management.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure efficient financial processes within the business.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, ideally in the online casino, sports betting, or gaming sector.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
