Position: 3061 Financial Controller – 6 Months
GTA area company seeks CPA controller to cover a 6 month maternity leave (with possible extension). Reports to the CEO. Growing business – launching new products and scaling – where your work makes a difference.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Taxation and Compliance – returns, closing, SR&ED, compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards.
- Reporting and Operations – monthly closings, general ledger, AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, margins, costs of production.
- Improving processes and supporting strategy – looking for funding.
- Leadership – helping junior staff and reporting to C‑Suite.
REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA with minimum 5 years’ experience, best in multi‑entity or manufacturing.
- Able to do reconciliations, close, report.
- In‑depth knowledge of GST/HST, ASPE, and corporate tax.
- Able to work independently and with other departments in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
- Financial Leader – multi‑entity operations, compliance, tax.
