Financial Controller
Our client is a growing Sustainability Consultancy operating across Ireland and the UK. They are currently looking to recruit an ambitious and commercially astute Financial Controller for their offices close to Dublin City Centre.
This is a senior leadership role covering financial control, reporting accuracy, commercial insight and continuous improvement of finance systems and processes.
Main duties:
- Lead the end-to-end month-end close process and prepare management accounts with variance analysis and board-level reporting packs
- Maintain balance sheet controls, reconciliations and multi-entity consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and EUR/GBP translation
- Own preparation, filing and payment of all Irish tax heads (VAT, PAYE/PRSI/USC, RCT, Corporation Tax, DWT, VIES/Intrastat) and manage UK tax compliance (VAT, PAYE/NIC, Corporation Tax)
- Own the 13-week rolling cash forecast, weekly cash reporting and working capital management across debtor days, credit control and supplier payments
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, and develop financial models for strategic planning and project profitability analysis
- Track KPIs across projects, departments and service lines, and deliver entity-level profitability analysis across the Irish and UK businesses
- Lead and develop the finance team, including reviewing tax filings and supporting professional exam progression
- Act as finance system owner for NetSuite, streamlining reporting and driving automation and process improvement
- Manage the annual audit process and statutory accounts for all group entities across Ireland and the UK
The person:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager
- Strong background in month-end reporting and FP&A
- Experience of multi-entity, cross-border (Ireland/UK/EU) group structures advantageous
- Strong cashflow forecasting and working capital management experience
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing finance teams
- Commercially astute with strong analytical capability
- Experience within professional services, engineering, consultancy or project-based environments advantageous
Salary: €100k – €110k plus benefits. Hybrid working available
