Red Chair Recruitment is delighted to partner with a prestigious 4-star resort in County Meath to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. Renowned for its exceptional guest experience, luxury accommodation, dining, leisure, and events facilities, the resort is seeking a commercially focused finance professional to join its senior management team and support its continued success. This is a permanent position, based on site in County Meath.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day finance function and oversee financial operations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and present financial reports to senior management.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Partner with departmental managers to support commercial decision-making.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure statutory compliance.
- Manage payroll, VAT returns, audits, and year-end reporting.
- Monitor costs, revenue performance, and working capital.
- Oversee finance systems and identify process improvements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).
- Minimum five years’ post-qualified experience in a senior finance position.
- Previous hospitality experience is essential, ideally within a hotel or resort environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent financial reporting skills.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and cash flow.
- Strong systems knowledge and proficiency with financial software.
Salary is based on experience and in the region of €83,000.
