Our client is a growing organization seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead its corporate accounting function and oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls. This is a highly visible leadership role that partners closely with executive management to ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen accounting processes, and support the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the corporate accounting function, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, consolidations, and financial reporting
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Manage multi-entity consolidations and ensure the accuracy of intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting procedures
- Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis
- Lead the annual audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors
- Oversee technical accounting matters and ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and ERP system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment
- Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and other ad hoc projects as the business evolves
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership within a corporate accounting environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience managing month-end close, consolidations, and multi-entity accounting
- Public accounting background (Big Four or national firm) is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
- Proven ability to build scalable accounting processes and improve operational efficiency
- Strong leadership, communication, and business partnering skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
