Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Financial Controller role based in Luanda. The Financial Controller will oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end and year-end closing, and supervision of the accounting team. The role includes preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, management reports, and budgets to support informed decision-making. The Financial Controller will ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, as well as coordinate with external auditors and financial institutions. Responsibilities also include cash flow management, variance analysis, cost control initiatives, and contributing to financial planning and forecasting across the company’s business units.
Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations and oversee financial processes.
- Experience in Manufacturing/Pharma
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to support management decisions and regulatory compliance.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, perform variance analysis, and identify risks and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is highly desirable.
- Experience in a multi-entity or diversified business environment, ideally within manufacturing, packaging, or related industries.
- Proven knowledge of local tax and regulatory frameworks, internal controls, and audit coordination.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and spreadsheet tools, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication, leadership, and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and work on-site in Luanda.
