The Financial Controller works in conjunction with the CEO of Talon OOH Canada and the Group Financial Director in the UK. The Financial Controller will oversee a team to lead towards all Canadian financial responsibilities for Talon OOH Canada. This involves managing financial risks, planning, record keeping, and reporting.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR_
We are looking for a dynamic Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in Toronto. This person will be the main point of contact for all things finance based out of Toronto. If the skills and qualifications below match your experience, we would love to hear from you.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance, CPA Preferred
15 years’ experience in general accounting and/or finance, including at least 5 of which is managing the accounting and/or finance function in building and managing a highly successful staff/team.
Experience in a media, advertising, or PR agency preferred.
Knowledge of accepted accounting principles and practices
Knowledge of auditing principles and practices
Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
Demonstrate and utilize strong systems and analytical skills
Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail, exhibit solid business instincts and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
High-level proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Netsuite experience is an advantage.
Experience with advertising agency-specific financial systems and ability to successfully work with and utilize company financial resources
