To support this growth, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance and compliance function in India while aligning closely with US-based financial reporting and regulatory frameworks.
Role Overview
The Financial Controller will play a key role in owning the end-to-end finance function, including financial reporting, audits, controls, and compliance. This position requires a strong understanding of both US GAAP and Ind AS, and experience in managing audits with Big 4 auditors. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong technical accounting background and experience operating in high-growth, cross-border SaaS environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process in alignment with US and Indian accounting standards.
Prepare and analyze financial statements as per US GAAP and Ind AS.
Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits, including successful closure of audits with Big 4 audit firms.
Oversee internal control design and implementation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Collaborate with
leadership
for budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, payroll, and compliance.
Ensure all tax filings (GST, TDS, US tax as applicable) are accurate and timely, in coordination with external consultants.
Handle intercompany transactions, consolidation, and transfer pricing matters.
Act as a point of contact for investor reporting and due diligence.
Key Requirements
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA with 8–12 years of post-qualification experience.
Proven experience with US GAAP and Ind AS reporting.
Demonstrated experience in closing audits with Big 4 auditors.
Prior experience working in a SaaS or technology company (preferred).
Experience in a US-client facing or cross-border financial reporting environment.
Proficiency with financial systems such as Net Suite, Quick Books, Zoho, or similar ERPs.
Strong
communication
and stakeholder management skills.
