About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial and Data Analyst to support federal financial operations through transaction processing, reconciliations, operational reporting, and data analysis. This hybrid role blends core financial responsibilities with advanced data analytics to ensure accurate, compliant financial operations and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in federal financial systems, including invoice verification, obligation entry, payment execution, and collections.
  • Support reimbursable agreements: review agreements, establish billing schedules, monitor costs, and perform close-out activities.
  • Reconcile Undelivered Orders (UDOs) and assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
  • Extract, normalize, and analyze financial data to support reporting, trend analysis, and decision-making.
  • Prepare routine financial reports and respond to data requests from leadership, auditors, and Treasury.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate documentation and assisting with auditor requests.
  • Provide excellent customer service to vendors and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions and data inquiries.
  • Assist with travel voucher processing and temporary duty (TDY) transactions as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen (required for facility and system access)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–4 years of combined experience in federal financial operations and/or financial data analysis
  • Proficiency with major federal financial systems (e.g., CBS/CFS, Oracle Federal, Momentum)
  • Working knowledge of federal appropriations law, the Prompt Payment Act, and basic USSGL concepts
  • Strong data analysis skills, including Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data filtering); experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Progress toward CGFM or CPA certification
  • Experience with G-Invoicing or transitioning to Shared Service Providers
  • Prior experience supporting audit readiness or internal control testing
  • Familiarity with federal financial policies and procedures
