Financial Analyst II Jobs in Los Angeles, USA at City National Bank
What is the opportunity? Works with Manager of Budgeting and Analysis to perform annual budgeting, monthly financial performance analysis, quarterly financial forecasting, cost/profitability studies, acquisition analysis and special projects; assists in providing financial analysis and planning support to the line and staff organizations.
What will you do?
- Responsible for the Budgeting/Forecasting Model’s system maintenance and enhancement.
- Works with the Manager and/or other analysts to maintain, enhance and produce the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) and Monthly Operating Performance Reporting.
- Works with the Manager and/or other analysts to conduct financial analysis and problem solving in the performance reporting and transfer pricing.
- Works with the Manager and/or other analysts to coordinate, consolidate and analyze the annual budget and quarterly forecast.
- Provides financial analysis and planning support to the line/staff groups. Assists in performing acquisition analysis. Works with the Manager on special projects as needed.
- Maintains a proactive commitment to established Bank programs, such as Customer First, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Equal Employment Opportunity.
- Ability to accurately, thoroughly and efficiently handle/analyze a high data volume; organize analyzed data into simple, complete and concise presentation formats; envision the global issue, separate symptoms from causes, research thoroughly; weigh costs/benefits and derive sound conclusions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects at the same time, working under tight deadlines.
- Effective verbal/written communication skills to interact with all levels of Bank personnel and strong analytical skills required.
- Applies some advanced skills to the position.
- May adapt procedures, processes and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position.
- Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine.
- Resolves most questions and problems, and refers the most complex issues to higher levels.
What do you need to succeed?
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 – 3 years of financial analysis experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years advanced Excel experience including pivot tables.

What’s in it for you? Compensation
Starting base salary: $31.39 – $50.14 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
