Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant / Financial Planning Analyst to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for both day-to-day accounting and long-term financial planning. The successful candidate will support accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive strategic business decisions.
Duties/Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements by GAAP.
Perform general ledger reconciliations and month-end close activities.
Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
Analyze financial results and provide explanations for variances and trend analysis.
Assist in cash flow forecasting and management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data for financial planning and reporting.
Monitor KPIs and prepare dashboards for management review.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
Recommend process improvements to enhance financial reporting and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
Financial analysis and forecasting abilities, including budgeting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration with stakeholders
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
Understanding of internal controls and audit readiness procedures
Team collaboration experience with cross-functional departments, such as operations and sales
