THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Partner of Level Capital, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for underwriting and performing diligence on all commercial real estate investment opportunities. The position requires close cooperation and coordination with other team members across the organization.
THE DETAILS
- Perform due diligence and underwriting of prospective acquisitions and developments
- Provide support for the acquisition, financing, development and disposition process
- Prepare financial modeling to support and guide both acquisition and asset management decisions
- Track leasing, operating, and capital expenditure performance against underwriting assumptions
- Support annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-term hold & short-term flip analyses
- Assist with evaluating value-add initiatives and return on capital expenditures
- Prepare presentation materials on new and existing investments for internal and external uses
- Analyze and monitor the financial performance of properties including financial modeling, benchmarking to budget, and collaborating with management in executing business plans
- Assist with analysis of the overall market and monitor industry trends
- Maintain data integrity across underwriting, asset management, and portfolio models
- Assisting in relationship management and the preparation of quarterly reports
- Help with the development and conservation of a financial portfolio model and performance management platform
THE QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related degree
- Bachelor's degree required, Real Estate a plus, with a minimum of 1-5 years of experience
- Advanced Excel-based financial modeling skills; familiarity with asset management software is a plus
- Robust verbal and written skills to connect with internal and external professionals effectively
- Proficient in Word, Adobe and Power Point Basic knowledge of real estate transactions
- Exceptional organizational skills to being able to monitor processes and prioritize
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate investment risks and returns
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
- Strong work ethic and meet critical deadlines
