Financial Analyst
Our growing manufacturing client is looking for a talented Financial Analyst. This position will complete both accounting (20%) and financial analysis (80%) responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies.
- Continuously look at processes for opportunities to streamline and improve
- Develop and perform the analysis of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures
- Streamline and automate reporting tools, utilizing Power BI and MS Excel functions.
- Create financial forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and observe for accuracy.
- Work with departments to evaluate spend, then develop and adjust budgets and forecasts as needed.
- Support monthly accounting efforts and general ledger reconciliations
- Partner with global staff to gain understanding of business drivers and goals.
- Key contributor to the reporting and analysis of the business unit financials, working with business managers to drive decisions based on financial analysis.
- Process monthly, quarterly, and annual sales commissions, confirming validity of compensation structures.
- Partner with Operations and Sales leadership to validate commission data and improve commission reporting processes.
- Manage documentation and controls related to commission calculations
- Complete ad-hoc analysis projects as needed
Requirements: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship per our client.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Must be able to interview onsite and work onsite in the Twin Cities multiple days per week.
- At least two years experience in a relevant financial analyst position.
- Strong communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial goals and progress to leadership.
- Curious and motivated with history demonstrating organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others within a complex, fast paced organization.
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field is required.
