Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our growing team in Austin, TX. This opportunity is ideal for recent Master's graduates and early-career finance professionals looking to build a strong foundation in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), financial modeling, forecasting, and business analytics
.The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a passion for working with financial data, and the ability to provide actionable insights that support strategic business decisions
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports, forecasts, budgets, and business performance metrics
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and forecasting processes.
- Perform variance analysis and identify key business trends and performance drivers.
- Support revenue forecasting, expense management, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Create dashboards, executive reports, and management presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Gather, organize, and interpret large datasets to support business objectives.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Business Analytics, Consulting, or related areas.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Financial Functions, and data analysis techniques.
- Understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with large datasets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Financial Modeling and Business Performance Analysis.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or other analytical tools.
- Internship, project, or academic experience related to finance, accounting, analytics, or consulting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations.
