Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for a variety of financial and operational functions, including:
- Analyzing monthly and annual financial and operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborating with Property Managers to provide guidance and oversight on operating plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Approving and submitting reserve draws, third-party contracts, rent increases, and non-budgeted expenditures.
- Performing post-acquisition activities and integration processes.
- Managing investor, agency, and property manager requests related to financial performance and reporting.
- Reviewing property tax assessments and submitting appeals when necessary.
- Assessing insurance requirements and working with brokers on policy renewals and new coverage.
- Conducting market analysis to review and adjust rent structures.
- Performing periodic on-site property inspections to ensure operational efficiency.
- Handling additional financial and operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications for the Financial Analyst Role
The ideal Financial Analyst will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant financial analysis experience
