KEY RESULT AREAS FOR THIS ROLE
Financial Operations & Accounting:
- Process day-to-day finance transactions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, expense entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain accurate records, support tax and regulatory compliance requirements
- Assist with year-end working papers and draft financial statement packages
- Help prepare cash flow updates and internal control documentation
- Management Reporting, Planning & Forecasting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and office / business-unit performance views
- Support creation of annual revenue, cost & profitability budgets
- Build dashboards that help leaders understand employee utilization, work-in-progress, accounts receivable, work-in-hand & project performance
CORE, Billing & Data Integrity:
- Support the effective use of BQE CORE by maintaining data quality, assisting users with time entry, billing & expense processes
- Stay current with features that can be leveraged by Edison
- Coordinate invoicing with project managers
- Support collections by providing statements & revising invoices as requested by clients
- Improve the accuracy and consistency of project and financial information across systems
- Process Improvement & Systems Support:
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve reporting visibility & strengthen finance workflows
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and software vendors on system issues, updates & process enhancements
- Contribute to dashboards, automation, and business intelligence improvements
Business Partnership:
- Work closely with leadership, project managers, and operations teams to interpret financial information, improve billing discipline and project visibility
- Support practical business decisions with timely, reliable analysis
WHAT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES ARE REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
Knowledge & Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, finance operations, or a related business-finance role
- Experience supporting month-end reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, or performance reporting
- Exposure to professional services and project-based environments is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting
- Progress toward or interest in a professional designation such as CPA is an asset
Technical Skills:
- Strong Excel skills, including working with large datasets, formulas, lookups, pivots & reconciliations
- Comfortable using financial systems & reporting tools
- Experience with BQE CORE, QuickBooks, Power BI, or similar finance / reporting platforms is preferred

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (METRICS) FOR THIS ROLE
- Reporting & Close: Timeliness and accuracy of monthly reporting, reconciliations, and reporting packages
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Quality of budget support, variance analysis, and forecast updates; ability to identify meaningful drivers and explain results
- Billing, WIP & AR Visibility: Accuracy and timeliness of billing support, WIP review, and accounts receivable visibility
- CORE & Process Effectiveness: Improved data quality, reduced manual workarounds, stronger user support & successful adoption of process improvements
- Business Partnership: Responsiveness to internal stakeholders and usefulness of analysis for leadership and project decision-making
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Competitive Base Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 annually based on experience and expertise.
