SUMMARY:
Are you a handsâon finance professional with strong exposure to foreign exchange, interâcompany transactions, and international reporting?
POSITION INFO:
A wellâestablished, reputable organisation is looking for a Financial Accounting Supervisor to take ownership of key accounting functions within a multinational, fastâpaced environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical accuracy, international complexity, and leading core finance processes from the front.
ð¯ Role's Purpose:
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will oversee the full accounting function up to trial balance, with particular focus on forex, crossâborder transactions, interâcompany accounting, and statutory compliance.
You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
ð Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions
- Manage foreign exchange accounting, including revaluations, currency updates, and forex petty cash
- Oversee international interâcompany balances, reconciliations, and confirmations
- Ensure compliance with SARB requirements for crossâborder payments
- Prepare inputs for international and group reporting (HFM or similar consolidation tools)
- Maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations, journals, and monthly provisions
- Analyse monthly expenses and review MTD / YTD performance trends
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register
- Oversee banking administration, electronic payments, credit cards, and petty cash
- Process payroll journals and manage statutory thirdâparty payments
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and EMP201 submissions, and assist with tax schedules
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Ensure ongoing compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
â Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric & BCom Accounting (CA(SA) advantageous, not essential)
- Minimum 3+ years’ accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing or a similar environment
- Proven exposure to multinational and multiâcurrency operations
- Strong technical knowledge of forex accounting, interâcompany transactions, VAT, and tax
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis)
- Experience working on ERP systems such as SAP, Syspro, Sage, or similar
