Have you completed SAICA or SAIPA articles and are ready to transition into a hands‑on industry accounting role?
A dynamic and growing company based in Illovo is seeking a detail‑driven Financial Accountant to join their youthful, fast‑paced finance team.
This role is ideal for an article‑trained accountant who enjoys accurate processing, routine accounting, and stakeholder interaction, while gaining broad exposure to a commercial finance environment.
✅ Preference will be given to candidates based in Johannesburg or Midrand.
POSITION INFO:
🎯 Role Overview
You will take ownership of core accounting functions, applying your article training in a commercial, client‑focused environment while working closely with the CFO.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and managing customer invoicing and debtor accounting
- Processing cashbook entries and performing bank reconciliations
- Managing supplier / creditor accounting
- Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register
- Preparing sales statistics and supporting financial reporting
- General journal processing and finance administration
- Supporting the CFO with ad‑hoc accounting and finance tasks
🎓 Requirements
✅ Mandatory
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
- Completed BCom / BCompt Accounting degree
✅ Experience
- Post‑articles exposure or strong end‑of‑articles experience will be advantageous
- Suitable for newly post‑articles or early‑career accountants
✅ Systems & Skills
- Strong MS Office proficiency (essential)
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Pastel, Embrace, or similar
- Comfortable working with accounting systems and online platforms
