House of Quirky is a Sydney-based global fashion collective, home to Minkpink and Staple the Label. We have a 3-month project for a technically strong Financial Accountant to join our team during a pivotal transition. We’re looking for a detail-driven professional to stabilise our workflows and strengthen our internal controls.
To note, this is a 3-month fixed-term contract designed to support our finance team through a period of transition.
Role Description
- Contribute to project-based initiatives, including a clean-up project across data, processes and reporting structures
- Monthly Balance Sheet A/C Reconciliations and GL Reporting integrity
- Update ERP system with Annual Budgets across multiple entities
- Assist with ERP system updates required to align with company operational process changes
- Support AP and AR with reconciliation processes
- Work closely with the Finance Manager to fine-tune process improvements and eliminate inefficiencies from manual processes
- Document new workflows and implementation of process improvements
Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting capability with the ability to operate autonomously
- Prior experience with stock/inventory management systems is essential (AP21 or similar ERP will be highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, controls and data clean-up environments
- Strong understanding of Balance Sheet reconciliations and governance
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational, analytical and reconciliation skills
