This position manages financial accounting responsibilities, offering variety, ownership, and real impact within the business. Working closely with senior leadership and project teams, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring strong financial governance across their projects and operations. Responsibilities
- Assist with the month-end process, GL reconciliations and BAS returns to ensure compliance with deadlines
- Perform general ledger and account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with legislation and accounting standards
- Assist with monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reporting
- Assist in data preparation and collation required for auditing purposes
- Assist with annual audits
- Assist with project and overhead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support preparation of the monthly management pack
- Present detailed monthly financial reports to managers
- Lead preparation of weekly project cost tracker
- Update tax-related paperwork for compliance lodgement
- Assist with real-time financial performance monitoring
- Escalate any financial issues to management
- Manage a small payroll

- Previous experience within the construction industry is advantageous
