SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Oversee fixed asset month-end reporting, ensuring accurate ledger entries and reconciliations
Manage general ledger close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure compliance with income tax and VAT returns, handling tax computations and statutory submissions
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with relevant legislation
Maintain internal controls and liaise with auditors for financial reviews
Support payment reviews and supplier invoice approvals
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in an accountant role
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in South African tax law and fixed asset registers
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Effective problem-solving and communication skills
Qualification:
Relevant Diploma or Degree in Finance or Accounting
Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles highly beneficial
