One of our clients, a subsidiary of a steel manufacturing company based in Dubai, is looking to hire a Financial Accountant to join their team.
Job Summary: Accountant and Financial Controller
An Accountant and Financial Controller is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and implementing robust financial control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Functions:
– Prepare and examine financial statements for accuracy and compliance in 1C accounting software
– Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile balances in 1C accounting software
– Process invoices and payroll
– Analyze financial data and create reports for management
– Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
– Assist in financial planning
– Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes
Financial Control:
– Implement and maintain robust financial control systems across all entities
– Develop and maintain annual budgets for all companies
– Conduct regular budget vs. actual analysis and provide variance reports
– Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
– Monitor cash flow and provide forecasting reports
– Establish KPIs for financial performance monitoring
– Prepare monthly financial control dashboards for management
Skills & Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting
– Scope of responsibilities covering various entities located in the UAE.
– Proficiency in accounting software (1C accounting system would be an advantage)
– Experience in budget development and financial control processes
– Attention to detail and analytical skills
– Ability to work with spreadsheets and financial modeling tools
– Strong organizational and communication skills
