Equifind are partnering with a well-established private equity firm who are looking to add a Financial Accountant to its lean, high-quality finance team. With a strong track record across European buyout and growth strategies, this is an opportunity to take real ownership.
You will own the management and statutory accounting for a portfolio of entities within the group from monthly close through to year-end audit sign-off. This is a hands-on position with genuine scope to improve processes and add analytical value beyond the numbers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end close for a defined set of entities – P&L, balance sheet, and supporting reconciliations and present findings directly to senior management
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including bank reconciliations and intercompany positions, resolving differences proactively
- Prepare and review balance sheet files, flagging risks and opportunities with clear commentary
- Support the Group consolidation, working closely with colleagues across jurisdictions
- Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and manage the audit process end-to-end, including auditor liaison
- Coordinate regulatory capital calculations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Work with external tax advisers on corporation tax and VAT returns
- Continuously challenge and improve financial controls, simplifying where possible without compromising rigour
- Support ad hoc reporting and business partnering initiatives across the wider finance function
About You:
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA), ideally with 3-5 years working experience
- Background in asset management, private equity, or a related financial services environment preferred
- Must be immediate, or available in the next 2 weeks,
Package:
- £60,000-£65,000 + great benefits package
