Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Financial Accountant role based in Gold Coast. The Financial Accountant will prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with relevant standards, and timely reporting to key stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing general ledger reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end close, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The role will involve using accounting software to process transactions, maintain financial records, and streamline reporting processes. The Financial Accountant will also liaise with internal teams and external advisors, contribute to process improvements, and support audit and regulatory requirements as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong technical Finance and Accounting skills, with experience in preparing and managing Financial Statements.
- Proficiency with Accounting Software and related financial systems, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Advanced Analytical Skills and experience in Financial Reporting, including variance analysis and management reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CA/CPA (or working toward) is highly regarded.
- Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax, and compliance requirements.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team.
- Prior experience in a commercial or public practice accounting environment is beneficial.
Mandarin speaker preferred and for the right candidate $110-120k plus super. Must have full working right in Australia.
